Message
from the President
Businesses
dependent on successful projects performance recognize the importance
of project performance management and are becoming aware of the importance
of Project, Program and Portfolio Management. Many organizations are
reluctant to invest in project management, as it's is frequently considered
an overhead function, or to sponsoring and funding to fundamentally
changes in the way they do business. When their focus changes to a
desire to support the enterprise and included programs and portfolios,
the perception will change. This paradigm change is important at executive
levels at such times as on implementation of an Enterprise Resource
Planning (ERP) system and when their focus is on a response to Sarbanes
Oxley Act compliance.
The
project management products and services industry is poised to start
consolidating through buy-outs and planned partnering. PMAC has
decided to facilitate consolidation by the developing of an Associate
Teaming Partnerships. This process, as further defined in the Partners
link, will enable the furnish of very diverse project management
support services, which will be performed by some of the leading
Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the PM profession, as available
because of through PMAC's many years of PMI involvement.
