Project Management Assessment and Audits

Organizations are encouraged to perform an initial top level PM assessment that establishes a baseline of PM maturity. PMAC will perform a two day structured PM assessment to facilitate an initiation of PM improvements.

When an organization becomes reasonably mature in their PM practices, PMAC recommends that an Organizational PM Maturity Model (OPM3) assessment to define specific domain and process deficiencies needing improvement. PMAC recommends a team of consulting SMEs and client members to facilitate the assessment, to define the needed improvements, and to provide mentoring support on implementing improvements and learning processes.

PMAC recommends interim OPM3, Project and PM Office Implementation Audits to validate implementations and ensure compliance with established objectives and requirements.

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is focused at U.S. public companies with a market capitalization of over $75 million. Failure to comply with the SOX legislation results in penalties against the corporation and its' top management.

Sections of the SOX Act deal with in-place internal controls that ensure accuracy of data. A well structured SOX Act PM Assessment identifies IT and PM processes and systems' needs and facilitates improvements.
